I have researched Australian family life since 2002. When I came in contact with FamilyLab I knew that this way of thinking was exactly what Australia and New Zealand needed.
We are at an exciting crossroad. We cannot, and do not want to, do as our own parent did. We are no longer tied by tradition and we do not have to resort to the use of authoritarian force or democratic tricks to raise our children.
Although, these have been very popular techniques used for decades they ought to be something of the past. We have the option of choosing a new way. Let us embrace a new set of values: the relationship between us and our children based on dignity and mutual respect.
If you have any comments please blog.
